Mills PTA Committees
STAFF APPRECIATION
Coordinates appreciation events for the teachers, coordinates birthday celebrations, and handles Teacher Appreciation Week.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Plans and implements the PTA’s community service projects, including (but not limited to!) Coats for Kids, and Odom Holiday Giving.
PROJECTS AND GOALS
Manages requests from the school and staff for funding or to purchase specific items for certain projects and goals.
MEMBERSHIP
Responsible for recruiting and helping members understand the benefits. Creates campaign, collects dues keep records.
LANDSCAPING
Better known as The Dirt Club, this group maintains the school grounds to keep the the students and staff safe and Mills beautiful!
WAYS AND MEANS
Research, promote and manage ways to earn free money for Mills with Randalls, Box Tops and other misc. education drives.
ARTS IN EDUCATION
Manages the Reflections Art Contest, an amazing program that increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
SPIRIT
Plans and advertises for Spirit Nights, organizes spirit wear sales and distribution, organizes chalk walks, and orders the school yard signs.
PARLIAMENTARIAN
Understands rules of order and the proper procedures for the conduct of meetings
VOLUNTEER & HOSPITALITY
Coordinates teacher workroom volunteers and organizes snacks for the monthly faculty meetings,
COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLICATION
Assists in communication between PTA and parents/guardians/staff via Mills Messenger or social media.
GRANT WRITER
Plans and advertises for Spirit Nights, organizes spirit wear sales and distribution, organizes chalk walks, and orders the school yard signs.
